Carry box for large porcelain tiles
Our client, a ceramic tile manufacturer with a long history needed a beautiful carry box for their large 20x20cm porcelain tiles. These made-to-measure boxes are made from heavy duty cardboard which is paper covered all over with printed paper with a matt coated finish. On the interior of the box there are customised tracks, one in the middle and on both sides for accommodating the 20x20 size ceramic sample pieces.
The tracks are made from black rigid PVC, attached to the base and sides of the box with adhesive. There are two oval shaped carry handles which are die-cut directly into the box sides, and reinforced with black plastic covers for a perfect finish. The box closure is with clasps in rigid black plastic, in line with the handle design. These boxes provide a stylish and practical way to transport and present wide collections of large and delicate sample pieces.

The porcelain sample box is specifically designed to present 20×20 cm gres tiles in a professional manner. Made from lined grey cardboard, this product stands out for its high strength, ensuring effective protection of the samples during transport and handling. The cardboard is coated both inside and out with a matte laminated finish, which protects the box from marks and scratches.
A key feature of this box is its two die-cut side handles, crafted directly into the cardboard, designed to facilitate the transport of the samples. These handles are reinforced with black embellishments that conceal the die-cut edges, ensuring a clean and professional finish that enhances both the functionality and aesthetics of the product. This detail ensures comfortable and secure handling, even when the box contains multiple heavy samples.
The box is securely closed using rigid black plastic studs, a secure and discreet mechanism that keeps the contents perfectly secured. This type of closure provides both durability and ease of use, allowing for practical opening and closing without compromising the overall design.
Inside the box, the spaces for the porcelain samples are organised by two side racks and a double central rack, made from thermoformed black PVC. These racks ensure a stable and secure arrangement of the tiles, keeping them in place and preventing them from slipping or getting damaged during transport. The thermoformed PVC, besides being lightweight and durable, adds a clean and modern look to the interior of the box, complementing its exterior design.
